Rescue and Welfare Service

Cavaliers are one of the most popular breeds of dog, so why do we need a rescue service I hear you say? Well thereby hangs a tail!

We often take on a dog with all good intentions but our busy lives are constantly changing.  Having made that commitment we are no longer able to fulfil our responsibilities as a dog owner.

Whether it be ill health, change in circumstances or financial reasons the rescue service is always on hand to help and offer friendly and confidential advice.

Does this answer the question of why we need a rescue service?

Fortunately we have a dedicated team of volunteers who drop everything and go miles to collect a dog and take it to one of the many homes we have waiting.  These kind hearted people who register to rescue a cavalier never ask how old it is, they just want to give the dog a good, loving, forever home. We would like to say a big thank you to all these dedicated people.

Each year we organise a rescue party and fun day for all the dogs we have rescued over the years. It's a great day out with events like the longest ears, waggiest tail, biscuit race, prettiest bitch and handsomest dog. It's a great social event and all rescue dogs and owners have a good time.

Please be advised that very rarely we have puppies or young dogs come in for rescue. It is usually older dogs and bitches that need re-homing.

Our service covers the following areas:

Staffordshire, Warwickshire, West Midlands, Worcestershire, Oxfordshire, Shropshire, and Gloucestershire.
